Cookie-Making Time!

I got a cookie recipe from a friend. I cut it in half, since her recipe is for a LARGE batch. I think I'll still get a couple dozen. I am using cute mini M&Ms and walnuts. It has oatmeal in it, so it's GOT to be healthy! Her recipe has you blending it before combining into the flour so it is nice and fine, not big pieces. Pretty good idea.

I will take some to our Catalyst meeting tomorrow night for dessert and some to our new neighbor across the street. Will work very hard to not snarf down too many all by myself.

Curtis decorated the balloons to be his 'kids', a la "Ice Age 3" Every once in a while he'd lean over and kiss Gummie, the pink one. Green: Curtis, Yellow: Gooba, Orange: Pokey.

Karen + knife = ER

On Tuesday night Karen wanted to whittle a little branch with a Swiss Army knife she swiped from Papa Cecil. The knife won. She thought she could just put a band aid on it and be okay, but there was enough blood to prove that wasn't happening. So off we took ourselves to the ER. Thankfully it was a slow night for emergencies and we got in and out in 1.25 hours. She got 3 stitches and now realizes she'll survive just fine.
