Bok bok!

I am having troubles getting the pictures in order, but I think you can handle it. Paul did a bang up job putting this together. I should have my chickens delivered tonight! SO excited!!!

but the sun is out!

We bought a new slip-n-slide last week. Curtis has been begging to use it since. Today he talked Krissy into setting it up. Surprisingly, he got cold and his fun did not last long.

That is our new chicken coop behind Curtis in the last photo.

Inspiration has arrived. AKA: Spring!

My picture taking really takes a slump during the winter. I prefer to take pictures outside, and not much is out there during the cold, dank days. So I hit the grass today and took pictures of flowers in my yard. I feel much better now.

The Babysitter

Paul got home from his NC trip at 1:30 Saturday morning. Considering he left the house about 2:30 Monday morning, he was gone one hour short of exactly 5 days. He tried to nap, which is hard with 4 awake peoples. But while he was resting he was able to babysit Gummie for Curtis. Isn't that so nice!?

Krissy was sick on Sunday so Paul took her to urgent care. Thankfully it wasn't strep, just viral. He stayed home with her and made my birthday dinner. Spaghetti with an amazing tomato reduction sauce, Italian-seasoned chicken, and my favorite: spinach au gratin.

Now we are back to 'normal'. Paul is off to work, girls off to school, and Curtis off to crazyhood.

oh the carnage....

Candy is still very much into the rip-and-destroy mode of puppy hood. Curtis got her this Cow toy for Christmas. It had lost a leg the other day, and ear or horn here and there. Today the destruction was complete. As long as she keeps to her toys and not my shoes, it's all good.

You can also see her surgery spots... shaved leg and her tummy. She's healing nicely, so that's a good thing. The day of her surgery was the slowest I'd seen her move! She didn't leave her bed for hours. Now she's back to crazy!

Cookie-Making Time!

I got a cookie recipe from a friend. I cut it in half, since her recipe is for a LARGE batch. I think I'll still get a couple dozen. I am using cute mini M&Ms and walnuts. It has oatmeal in it, so it's GOT to be healthy! Her recipe has you blending it before combining into the flour so it is nice and fine, not big pieces. Pretty good idea.

I will take some to our Catalyst meeting tomorrow night for dessert and some to our new neighbor across the street. Will work very hard to not snarf down too many all by myself.

Curtis and his kids

Curtis decorated the balloons to be his 'kids', a la "Ice Age 3" Every once in a while he'd lean over and kiss Gummie, the pink one. Green: Curtis, Yellow: Gooba, Orange: Pokey.
